Dr. Özgür Savasci, Research assistant in the Turkish and Ottoman Department at the LMU Munich
After providing fascinating insight into the Turkish language by Özgür Savasci, Sinasi Dikmen will present scenes from his cabaret programme entitled Islam für Anfänger [Islam for Beginners]. Dikmen was born in a small Turkish village and has founded the first German-language Turkish cabaret, where he confronts prejudice, misunderstanding and integration in a «literary, philosophical and anecdotal way» [German newspaper FAZ]. He has been awarded the Deutsche Kleinkunstpreis [German cabaret award].
