Prof. Dr. Heiner Bielefeldt, Chair in Human Rights and Human Rights Policy at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg
«I think of enlightenment – and human rights – as an unfinished learning process.» Heiner Bielefeldt deals with the highly controversial question of whether or not Islamic law is compatible with western, democratic legal systems. Can Muslims accept the claim that the German constitution is applicable in relation to religious law? What do human rights mean in a society dependent upon immigration?
