The abstract sound performances by the experimental musician from Lebanon, Tarek Atoui, refer mostly to a specific location and are embedded in a political and social context. Besides his work as a musician, Tarek Atoui is also a curator and cultural manager – for the moment he is artist in residence at the Sharjah Art Foundation.
