Lyric poetry and music have been inseparably coupled in numerous traditions for thousands of years. This performance reunites this coupling once again. In the musical reading Gold on Lapis Lazuli we bring you the most beautiful love poems of «the Orient», accompanied by oriental music on original instruments. The speaker is the editor and scholar Dr. Claudia Ott who will present many of the poems in their original language.
